The Youth Summit was the highlight of the Harrison-Campion exchange.
Opening the event was a rendition of Redemption Song by our concert master Aidan Rampair on Violin, accompaned by our deputy head girl Samantha Salmon on voice.
The Bajan ambassador to CARICOM said after the performance that it was fitting to open with Redemption Song, describing it as 'our regional anthem', which documents our shared history and unity as Caribbean people.
The principal of Harrison College (Barbados's Campjon) further complimented the mellow atmosphere that the violin brought to the piece, accentuating the lyrics Samantha brought to the second verse:
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery,
only ourselves can free our minds.
